Who we are. DS Media Moments is the wedding arm of DS Media, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 1HR. We’re the people who handle your data, and we keep it simple: we collect as little as we can, use it only to look after you, and never sell it. Contact us any time at info@mediads.co.uk or 07539 228257.
What we collect
- Enquiry details, what you type into the enquiry form (names, contact details, wedding date, venue, your message). Used solely to reply to you, quote, and manage your booking. Forms are handled by Netlify and emailed straight to us.
- Analytics, we use PostHog to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and, if you arrived from one of our ads, which campaign brought you). It helps us improve the site. It isn’t used to identify you personally and it isn’t sold to anyone.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, the essential ones that make the site work, and analytics ones (above) that help us improve it. You can decline non-essential cookies in your browser at any time without breaking the site.
Your films and photos
Client galleries are private. Any promotional use of wedding footage or photography is agreed in your contract before the wedding, nothing appears publicly without your knowledge.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking records only as long as we genuinely need them to run the business and meet our legal obligations, then we delete them. Analytics data is kept in aggregate to spot trends, not to track you personally.
Your rights
We handle your data in line with UK GDPR. Ask us at any time what data we hold about you, and we’ll show it, correct it or delete it, just email info@mediads.co.uk. If you’re ever unhappy with how we’ve handled it, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
